About

Personally and professionally, I am driven by a passion to see children raised well by moms and dads who love each other deeply and are committed to one another for life. I want those same children to receive the education that prepares them best for the world they will enter as adults - ready to be good citizens and equipped with skills that allow them to provide for themselves and their families. For their parents, I also want there to be ample job opportunities and the freedom to excel as far as their talent and hard work will take them. Over the last decade, that passion has led me from a thriving law practice to helping to lead a nationally-recognized nonprofit focused on ensuring that Georgia is a national leader when it comes to providing opportunities for gainful employment, a quality education, and healthy family life. My work has included research and writing, and contributions to all of our key policy reports, interviews in national and state media outlets, and published op-eds. It has also included leading key initiatives on school choice, healthcare reform, prisoner reentry, and welfare reform, most of which have resulted in public policy reforms or community-based work that is making Georgia a better place. In the course of my time at GCO, I have also had the pleasure of speaking about our work to a diverse set of national audiences, including those at the Heritage Foundation, the Correctional Ministries and Chaplains Association, the American Enterprise Institute, the American Legislative Exchange Council, the State Policy Network, and the Academy of Criminal Justice Sciences. In recent years, I have helped lead GCO during a time of unprecedented impact and growth - both in Georgia and beyond - managing most aspects of the day-to-day operations of the organization and a growing team of people who get things done. I love my work and count myself very blessed to be able to say that my daily work and my calling are the same.
