I’ve been a RN since 1996. I started on a med-surg floor, moved to a step down unit for vascular/thoracic surgery and lastly, went to a vascular/thoracic ICU. I finished the CRNA program in 2003. Subsequently, I worked in a cath lab for a year. We relocated to Florida in 2004 and joined a small group of 10 MDs and 20 CRNAs. I stayed with the group for 15 years and we grew to 30 MDs and 40 + CRNAs. After a good run in the ACT, I had an opportunity to leave and forge my own path.
