Eric Ettinger

Eric Ettinger is the president and sole owner of Ettinger Engineering Associates, a MEP/Fire Protection Consulting Engineering firm with 50 employees. He has served as partner in charge of over 500 new buildings and some of New York City's most prominent and unique renovation projects. Since 1978, Eric Ettinger has directed major mechanical and electrical projects throughout the United States with installation costs from two hundred and fifty thousand dollars ($250,000) to five hundred million dollars ($500,000,000). Eric serves as the director of engineering for Ettinger Engineering Associates (EEA). He is an expert in managing all types of design projects. Eric maintains client contact and sets the engineering policy for system design and specifications for every project including (HVAC, Fire Protection, Plumbing and Electrical). He oversees the preparation of all contract documents, and actively participates in all strategic client meetings. He signs and seals contract documents to obtain government approvals as needed. Eric has conceived original designs for four fan coil and heat pump applications for new and renovated residential and commercial buildings. He has participated in energy management studies and implementation of energy conscious designs, and his innovations for Green Building Design, NYSERDA Energy Star Programs and Enterprise Green Communities have provided great economy for developers and builders. Eric stays on the leading edge of industry trends. He is recognized for the informative and relevant articles that have been published in industry trade publications. His most recent articles address such topics as Affordable Housing Green Building Design, the new New York City Building Code, and creating workable designs to ensure energy responsibility. In 2008 Ettinger Engineering Associates, led by Eric Ettinger received the honor of being one of the Top 10 Engineering firms in the tri-state award.
