About

I solve complex data analytics problems with a scientific approach, employing a decade of experience in numerical modelling, scientific analysis, predictability analysis and forecasting. As a data scientist, I've helped construction companies better estimate the cost of large-scale construction projects by developing a suite of analytics metrics from massive archives of historical construction project data. As a scientist, I've helped ensure aviation safety by developing models and statistical methods to better simulate and forecast volcanic eruptions. I've developed analytics methods to bridge the gap between imperfect numerical models and highly accurate, but spare, data. My methods were initially developed and employed while working for the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) and later become a part of my PhD research while working at the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA). I have helped develop algorithms to process data collected by imaging sensors on satellites as well as expand the capabilities of NASA’s global climate and weather models.
