As a Senior Programmer Analyst and Team Lead, I've built business solutions in insurance, manufacturing, distribution, and consumer sales. My greatest strength has been my ability to master the business dynamics driving the software development needs- I can see the forest AND the trees. I have learned, and mastered, the user level details of each business I've served. In doing so, I've been able to understand, design, and implement high quality software solutions that generate efficiencies and insights returning solid ROI. Aside from cultivating the programming and business analysis skills associated with my immediate job requirements, I've spent a great deal of time building and reinforcing the soft skills needed to be a good mentor, teammate, and leader. I've become adept at facilitating team discussions, promoting collegiality among team members, directing the work priorities of others, and encouraging inter-departmental cooperation toward common goals. While at MoreDirect, I was fortunate enough to be invited into the Ken Blanchard Situational Leadership training program, which focuses on recognizing and accommodating different personality and experience factors to tailor effective interactions. Systems are team endeavors and these skills and abilities have been instrumental in buttressing my contributions. I'm always interested in expanding my horizons and opportunities. I thrive on collaboration and enjoy exchanging ideas that generate positive results and robust products. My mind is always open and receptive to the next exciting challenge. I have the head of a logician, the attention to detail of a master craftsman, and the heart of an explorer.
