Eric Sorenson

I'm an accomplished fundraising professional and award-winning writer and editor. I carry more than 16 years of experience in non-profit work and 20+ years of experience in writing and editing. My fundraising experience includes my current job as a grant writer for The Salvation Army Northern Division Headquarters. In this position I have secured millions of dollars in corporate and foundation grants, and major gifts. I carry extensive experience in grant writing, researching and cultivating donors, managing donor databases, creating mail appeals and developing funding strategies. As a writer and editor, I have experience in non-profit communications, along with extensive credits in the publishing world, specializing the in outdoors, the environment, DIY, news, sports and history. Through my career I have worked in newspapers, magazines, books, PR communications and web content in both staff and freelance capacities. I have freelanced for a wide range of publications including LiveOutdoors.com, BassFan.com, Outdoor News, In-Fisherman, Fur-Fish-Game, Minnesota Game & Fish, Family Handyman, and the Minnesota Conservation Federation, to name a few. I have also authored two books, Classic Fishing Lures and Tackles, and The Angler's Guide to Freshwater Fish of North America, published by Voyageur Press.
