Joined the nuclear Navy in 1988 as a Machinist's Mate. Served in the Navy until 1997 then hired on at Illinois Power Company at the Clinton Power Station. In 1999 I joined Detroit Edison (DTE Energy) at the Fermi Power Station as a non-licensed operator. In 2002 I received my NRC Reactor Operator's License. In 2005 I joined the Performance Engineering Group at Fermi to work with plant efficiency calculations and Predictive Maintenance (PdM). I have been MSPI Program Manager, ICES Coordinator, Maintenance Rule Coordinator, Thermography Engineer, and Predictive Maintenance program owner. I am currently the station Thermal Performance Engineer and Heat Exchanger and GL 89-13 program owner at Fermi 2. I also am an SME presenter for Engineering Training for Systems, and I teach Plant Systems and Reactor Theory in the Nuclear Engineering Technology program at the Monroe County Community college. I am a Level 3 Certified Infrared Thermographer. I am fully qualified as Thermal Performance Engineer, Thermography Engineer, Snubber engineer, and heat exchanger inspector.
