I have always been drawn to systems and have a need to understand how things work. I was the cliché kid always asking "why?", even after something was explained, because I needed to know more. I needed to know more until I fully understood how all the pieces fit together, like a puzzle, to form beautiful, efficient functionality. As I got older and began my professional career, I realized understanding the system was merely a means to an end and the most fun comes *after* the system is fully comprehended. They say knowledge is power; and in this case, knowledge of the system grants you the power to analyze it, change it, and improve it. I had found my passion. In every position I've held I have sought ways to make tasks more efficient, streamlined, and simpler for both myself and my colleagues. I have saved my companies both time and money, and saved my coworkers from frustration and tedium. I am particularly adept at VBA programming and have used my knowledge to broaden the capabilities of common office software, such as Excel; Word; and Outlook, and customized it to the company's needs. To hone and improve my skills, I also freelanced for a short time to great success. A few examples of my process-improvement endeavors are as follows: • Reduced report writing time 30% through programming of Excel macros to eliminate tedious data re-entry processes and enforce data structures. • Created a scalable time-tracking system to generate reports for 200+ employees working on 25+ projects. Extremely proficient in Excel, VBA programming, and other Microsoft Office products. Proficient in logistics, supply chain management, process improvement, and project management. Familiar with Python, SQL, and database construction.
