I am currently a supervisor (APSW) at the 30 acre Ft Greene Park, Brooklyn. Responsibilities include Maintenance and Operations duties, landscape management, plus training and leading staff and volunteers in Park upkeep projects. Recently I completed my term in the New York City Parks and Recreation, managing 97 Greenstreets in Brooklyn. As a Gardener in the Department of Environmental Protection, Sustainability Division, I maintained and installed dozens of Bronx bioswells. My greenhouse duties included the germination, transplantation and documentation of over 21,000 annuals and perennials for the spring season at Ross Nursery. I have founded, landscaped and served with a vibrant and successful Parks and Recreation Department Brooklyn GreenThumb garden. Over 45 residents are now gardening on six previously abandoned city lots. Trained by Trees New York and the NYC Street Tree Consortium, I have been an effective and active Citizen Tree Pruner for over three years. I have had extensive experience in dealing with a wide variety of professional services as a meeting planner and as a manager. Other unique skills include budgeting, site inspections, drafting, planning and coordinating of events with staff, agencies and the public necessary to make your environmental project a success.
