Erico Przeybilovicz

Erico Przeybilovicz is a Research Associate at United Nations University, specializing in digital governance, e-participation, e-transparency, smart cities and governance strategies. His 16 years of experience includes work in both private and public sectors. Erico worked in the Paraná State Government in Brazil, as a public employee in education, finance, and tax areas. He also worked at BRF, the largest food company in Brazil, as a business process analyst in the ERP Implementation Project and the compliance area. He investigated the use of digital technologies and open data to promote e-transparency at the Solidarity Marist Foundation. He also served as a public manager at the Secretariat of Information and Communication Technology of Curitiba Municipality. Erico was a research associate at the Center for Public Administration and Government Studies of Getulio Vargas Foundation, Brazil, where he participated in and coordinated various projects, including the Smart Cities project that investigated the comprehension of the public sector and citizens of this theme in 15 cities. He worked for the Smart Governance for Sustainable Cities Project and the Local Online Service Index (LOSI) Pilot Project. At the Research Center of ICT Renato Archer, Erico worked as a project coordinator of the Smart and Sustainable Cities Assessing System Project. At the Federal Rural University of the Semi-Arid, he worked as a project coordinator to develop capacity-building courses on sustainable urban development and the digital transformation of cities for the Brazilian Ministry of Regional Development. Erico worked with the Cape Verde government to develop an Action Plan to implement the Digital Governance Strategy. He has been a member of expert working groups on digital government and smart cities in Brazil, including the expert group that developed the Brazilian Charter for Smart Cities for the Brazilian Ministry of Regional Development. Erico holds a PhD in Business Administration from Getulio Vargas Foundation, Brazil, with a visiting period at Utrecht University School of Governance in the Netherlands, and Master's and Bachelor's degrees in Business Administration from Pontifical University Catholic of Paraná, Brazil.
