Erika Goad

My dedication to writing and research has manifested itself in diverse ways. From writing a fiction collection of short stories about the lives of Appalachian women, to presenting research on trauma in twentieth century literature with a panel of scholars at the College English Association’s annual conference, I thrive on investigating complex information and creating content that connects with an audience. In addition to my background in creative and academic writing, I’m also committed to honing my professional writing skills in order to generate effective internal memos, informal/formal reports, proposals, social media posts, and other forms of written and digital communication. No matter the form of my writing, whether I’m crafting a problem-solving proposal or emailing important information to a colleague, my goals are to interpret data, consider audiences, and employ proficient editing skills to produce meaningful and effective written communication.
