I am operationally focused and analytical, which strengthens my ability to balance fact-based information along with utilizing my detail orientation. I use my intuitive logical approach to support the accounting integrity in my everyday processes. By utilizing effective internal controls and optimizing process efficiencies, I’ve proven that it will lead to smoother monthly closings. With a strong Excel and database background, I’ve created several financial reporting processes, which maintains my Ledger accounts and identifies inconsistencies before they reconciled at the end of the month. Integrating these with my other internal accounting processes, I ensure they always align with the overall goals of the company. I take great pride in managing, training and mentoring my amazing Accounting Team. I selected and hired each member of the team by determining their appropriate skills and capabilities so that we all compliment each other in both work aptitude and personality. I’ve learned that by creating a dynamic team it allows us to develop the best process for the checks and balances necessary to ensure compliance with required accounting principles of best practices and efficient operations. In short - I "geek out" over data, processes, spreadsheets, reporting and excel - throw in some cold brew iced coffee and I'm in my happy place.
