Perseverance is important to achieve life goals. When it comes to completing any task, I’ve accepted the challenges that come about and endeavor to stay positive while completing the needed task. For example, with education, I've often accepted extra work in order to fully comprehend what is needed with each field of study. Interested in various fields, I have completed a degree in Education and most recently, I’ve enrolled in an accelerated program for Paralegal Studies. With my attained skills, I want to help others. I’m happiest when I brighten up someone else’s day. I use my time away from work to volunteer. I search for ways to contribute to a peaceful community. One location I volunteered at while in High School is the Davidson County Public Library. I also dedicate time during the week to converse with various individuals in the community. I speak with diverse people. I make an effort to assist those who’ve arrived as refugees, for example, and help them adapt to their new environment whenever possible. I also strive to learn greetings in various languages, as I’ve found that this often results in a deeper connection with others. Additionally, I offer help in improving family life and finding solutions to everyday struggles that many of us face. My goal is to encourage individuals and show them that they are valued in the community. I’m convinced that our actions can make a difference in the lives of others. Furthermore, the constant interaction with various individuals has taught me to improve my social skills and react well even when difficult situations arise. I’ve learned from secular work and volunteer work that getting along with others is a key to success. I continue to grow in this aspect and strive to succeed.
