Esther Shafer

I am a graduate of California Polytechnic University San Luis Obispo, with a B.S. In Animal Science concentrating in Comparative Animal Biology, and a minor in Biology. My first years out of university were spent working at PetSmart, both in San Luis Obispo CA, and San Diego CA. After I left PetSmart I began a new position as a Kennel Assistant in the Boarding and Grooming department of a Veterinary Hospital where I worked for a year a half before moving to Colorado. My current job since the summer of 2018 has been as a Veterinary Assistant for a small clinic in Castle Rock CO which has been instrumental in growing the skills I will need for my goal career. My short term goals involve securing a job in the zoo or veterinary care fields. With my long term goals as starting a career in the Zoo industry.
