Eva Ocaña

I have ten years of clinical experience. Three of them in the Neonatal intensive Care Unit in the Royal London hospital, where I had the chance to get the Specialist title as a Neonatal Intensive Care Nurse. I have been attending extreme premature and sick babies since they are delivered. I am able to asses them and perform techniques of advance resuscitation, as well as take care of them when respiratory support is needed. Last year, I introduced myself in international cooperation, working as a Senior Staff Nurse in the Pediatric Children’s Hospital of Entebbe. My role was supervising and teach national staff, reviewing protocols, doing referrals to other hospitals which made me understand the level of functionality of health services (public and private) and ensure regular medical supplies from the pharmacy to the units. During my time in Uganda, I took part of the response in the Ebola Outbreak of September 2022. Training myself for a potential admission of an Ebola patient. I also have an extended experience in the Emergency room and Traumatology unit in two of the biggest hospitals in Madrid.
