Eva Pethrus

Since 2003 she has been instrumental in the successful implementation of Partners in Learning Program in Sweden, which enables schools to enhance student learning. She works on various national initiatives ranging from education, health and social affairs to accessibility. In close collaboration w Swedish education partners, she has developed and implemented internationally groundbreaking projects such as ‘”Learning Technology Innovation Centre”. She has also started a national growth program “Student Helpdesk”. Pethrus is a well sought speaker and advisor for local and national government officials in the area of school development and implication of the globalization on education. As a former Sales Manager for Microsoft Education she implemented the first Learning Gateway in EMEA to enable student learning in 2003. She built a pre-sales organization during 1995-2000 and was the first salesperson at the Microsoft Consumer department in 1994. Her first work at Microsoft 1990 was as a Business Manager for the Nordic OEM channel where she implemented at that time an unique combination of Microsoft-DOS and Microsoft Windows which was later adopted globally by Microsoft Corp. Pethrus was a member of the Advisory Board for the Swedish Agency for Disability Policy Coordination at the Ministry of Health and Social Affairs which sole purpose is to increase awareness of the situation for children, youth and adults w disabilities. Since 2007 Pethrus has been a member of the Täby Local Government Social Board and a board member of Täby Holding since 2006. She holds a seat on the Täby Municipality Executive Board since 2006. During 1998-2006 she was a member of the Täby School Board where she actively contributed with visions and ideas to enable the municipality to be the leading local government in Sweden in school development.
