My practice focuses on two areas: telecommunications and intellectual property litigation. In the telecommunications field, I have represented the country’s largest wireline and wireless carriers in a wide range of proceedings before the FCC, DOJ, FTC, and courts. I have also represented independent video programmers, satellite providers, social networks, and telecommunications start-ups. I lead the firm’s telecommunications research group, which has produced many influential industry fact reports over the past two decades. I have co-authored several works in the field, including a case book on telecommunications law and journal articles. I am also an experienced intellectual property litigator. I have represented major telecommunications carriers and equipment manufacturers in patent suits before the ITC and federal courts., and have participated in copyright litigation involving the music industry.
