Ewan Burns

Currently specialising in musculoskeletal physiotherapy within an NHS setting, since september 2013. Gained experience as a junior physiotherapist at Pennine Acute Hospitals between 2009 and 2013. Worked as a sports physiotherapist for Manchester Pheonix ice hockey team in the EPL for two seasons 2010/11 and 2011/2012 covering matches on week ends and rehabilitation clinics during the week. Gained experience dealing with a range of traumatic and overuse injuries. Volunteered at a junior basketball team The Oldham Titans 2010/2011 treating injured players at evening training sessions. Worked for MUSS (Manchester United Soccer Schools) in the summer of 2008 at a residential soccer and english school providing sports first aid and rehabilitation to the young players. Qualified from the university of Salford in 2008. Currently looking for some private or sports work to keep up my skills treating overuse and acute injuries. Currently compete in amateur cycling sportives and triathlons so have a particular interest in these areas.
