I have a lifelong passion for people. ALL people, but more so for those who’s voice can’t generally be heard. Why? Because when we create a culture where everyone can be truly heard, engagement, collaboration and performance rise. Culture is the most powerful business productivity engine. So in the boardroom, I focus the conversation on what it takes to build and maintain the right Strategic Relationships and develop stakeholder trust and engagement. A relationship rich in trust allows all to bring the best version of themselves and grow mutual value. The heart of everything is I do is founded in Win-With™ principals. For over 20 years, I have led high-stakes negotiations or supported peer negotiators, business leaders and boards of directors to get better outcomes, transform conflict into collaboration, build bridges between parties with seemingly conflicting positions. I believe that the notion of B2B is a misnomer – we do business with people we connect with, align interests with and trust. And these relationships are messy, because people are complex. Conflict certainly is too. As a board director, I help individuals as well as the team make more conscious decisions to unlock value and ascend towards their organisation’s summit. Individual differences make a group decision process difficult. I help boards move past conflict by harnessing and leveraging these individual differences, to make these decisions richer, more rounded and ultimately effective.
