Fabio Pittalà

Where Innovation, Product, Standardization and Marketing meet to Build a Better Connected World! 10+ Years of Experience in the field of High-Speed Optical Communication. Dr.-Ing. Fabio Pittalà is the Product Planner for the Arbitrary Waveform Generators, Pulse Generators and Digitizers at Keysight. Before joining Keysight, he was a Principal Engineer at the European Research Institute of Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd. In Munich, covering a wide range of topics spanning from Research to Product Development and Standardization. In fact, he is also an Optical Standard Expert actively contributing to IEEE 802.3 and ITU-T SG15 on the development of optical interfaces for coherent systems. His studies were concluded with a Doctoral Degree awarded by the Technical University of Munich (TUM) in 2019. Instead, his Master of Science in Telecommunication Engineering was awarded by the Technical University of Denmark (DTU) in 2011. During his Bachelor of Engineer (B.Eng) studies concluded at the University of Messina (UniMe) in 2009, he was a visiting student at the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid (UAM) in 2007 and a Researcher Assistant at the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA) in 2008. He authors 50+ conference and journal papers, 40+ standard contributions and 10+ international patents. He is also an OSA and IEEE member serving as a reviewer for the Journal of Lightwave Technology, Photonic Technology Letters, Optics Express, Optics Letters and Chinese Optics Letters.
