I believe the skills, knowledge, and expertise I have acquired and developed as a results oriented professional with 17 years of banking experience, including a significant operational risk management component, will give me the advantage of swiftly moving into a new competitive environment, which I am eager to contribute to, learn from and be a part of. More specifically, in my current role as a Head of OpRisk , I support the operational risk assessment activities associated with the implementation or launch of new business practices, products or services, in accordance with the ATB Bank's New Product Approval policy and related guidance. I also support risk assessments of business processes using the Bank's standard methodologies and mitigate identified control weaknesses through the creation of appropriate action plans. In order to effectively perform the above, I research best practices and methodologies, in addition to firm specific circumstances and situations. This involves writing analytical reports, performing data analyses and eventually writing proposals. In terms of academic and professional qualifications, I possess a Master of Business Administration (with a focus on Banking Management) and I am a Certified Operational Risk Manager (ORM) by PRMIA. The knowledge I have gained while working towards my MBA and ORM certificate have given me the motivation to continue pursuing opportunities to develop my knowledge further and apply it. Overall, I am highly motivated to excel in my chosen profession and possess a proven track record in achieving organizational goals. Such traits have provided me with opportunities to take up leading roles within ATB Bank, which I have taken up successfully and professionally. Over my 17 year career in banking, I have also been able to develop a dynamic set of competencies required to excel in any domain. Such competencies include communication, sound judgment, analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to lead and be a part of a team, in addition to, the ability to see the whole picture while paying specific attention to details.
