About
While at the University of Washington I worked at KCMU in Seattle, our college radio station, and ultimately became the Music Director. Two of my favorite entertainment related jobs were at Elektra and Virgin. At Elektra I had the best job in the world - an incredible boss and the most amazing music that included the Cure, Happy Mondays, Luna, Sugarcubes, Metallica, TMBG, the Pixies, Ween, and the amazing back catalog and Nonesuch - incredible! Virgin was also a blast as the people were incredible as was the culture. Ray Cooper and Piero Giramonti were great bosses and some of the projects I are able to manage included The Manic Street Preachers, Ben Harper, Blur, David Sylvian, Tina Turner and the Spice Girls. Currently, my husband and I have a boutique wine project called Parador Cellars (paradorcellars.com) as well as a fine wine distribution company called Vintage Wine Marketing. Wine, like music, is a thing that makes life finer. In 2019 I launched the Napa Radio Project which is a 501(c)3 and a FCC licensed radio station - you can hear it online at naparadio.org or at KCMU 103.3fm in Napa. Oh and in 2023 we will be opening Folklore in downtown Napa. Folklore is a cafe, wine & cocktail bar, record store and coffee house and it will be awesome! As well, KCMU will be relocating to this spot. Everything great is one happy place.
