Faith Emmanuel-Soya (Ehebhamen) is a Senior Market System Development Professional with competence in developing partnerships that bring about sustainable impact in conflict and poverty-prone areas. She is experienced in Private Sector Development, Agribusiness Development, Market Systems Development, Value Chain Analysis and Development, Capacity Building, Gender Mainstreaming, Monitoring, and Results Measurement (DCED Standard). With over a decade of experience in Market Systems/International Development, Faith has successfully designed and implemented strategic interventions in the agricultural sector geared toward inclusive economic growth, poverty reduction, and job creation. As a Senior Market Systems Development Advisor for PIND Foundation, she designs and manages the implementation of a port-folio of interventions in diverse agricultural value chains that support farmers’ access to finance, market, technology, information, and input. In the cassava sector, she helped to develop partnerships that opened up industrial market opportunities for farmers in the region. Her work on aquaculture production, processing, and marketing is helping bridge the demand and supply gap in the Nigeria fisheries sector. In particular, the introduction of improved processing technologies is enhancing efficiency among fish farmers in the Niger Delta. Faith is a passionate researcher with strong analytical skills and has led various studies across the agricultural sector which includes the PIND’s Cassava End Market Study, Fish Feed Analysis, and Livelihood opportunities in selected Coastal communities in the Niger Delta. Faith is a Commonwealth Scholar and is currently pursuing a master’s degree with the University of St. Andrews in the UK, on Sustainable Aquaculture. She holds a Master’s Degree (MBA) in Business Administration from the Delta State University, Abraka, and a First Class Degree in Agriculture (Agronomy) from the same University.
