Faizan Jalil

I come from a small district Rampur in U.P, born and brought up in a very modern and forward thinking family. My education has been mostly in Aligarh Muslim University as a resident. I Graduated with Honors in Chemistry followed by a Masters in Social Work. The turning point of my life was working in PRADAN and learning about the various nuances of village life, the simple yet complex problems of rural and poor India. Through out my university life, i was an active debater, actor and participated and represented the university in various intra university Zonal and National competitions. Also was a cabinet member of the Students Union and Sectretary of Uliversity Literary club. I am an animal lover and a guardian of 3 dogs and a really grumpy but adorable senior cat named Tinku. In my journey through life, I am joined by my wife Dr.Sushmita (Veterinary Surgeon and animal lover), we are childless by choice as we think there are many millions out there both animal and humans to take care of.....and I do it with passion and commitment! I love my camera and my Harley-love to ride solo to the point where the heart beat integrates with the engine thump!
