Farinaz Pirshirazi

My name is Farinaz, but I go by Naz. In 2011 I immigrated to the United States from Iran with an innate passion for the life sciences, particularly disease prevention, which influenced my Public Health educational pursuits. My professional background is a unique mix of leadership in the hospitality industry and implementing health promotion and disease prevention programs in healthcare. In hospitality, I address the public health priority of improving access to affordable and healthy food as the operator of two Persian restaurants. And in healthcare, I work to restore hope daily and educate and help people from all walks of life quit smoking as a Tobacco Cessation Specialist. I am so excited to be in the final year of my graduate degree and genuinely looking forward to helping people live healthier and longer lives and connecting with those who have the same objective in mind.
