It is my mission in life to grow and teach. I remain open to learning new processes, ideas, even more about who I am. There will always be something more to learn and I feel being a student of my life is important, otherwise I will stop growing towards being a better person. I will always take an opportunity to teach it is my responsibility to share what I have had the privilege to learn, whether it be to a co-worker, friend, family member, or stranger. Professionally, I have had so many experiences. I started my path in Human Resources, some of my responsibilities were recruitment, grievances, orientations, and being the liaison. From there, I went into Social Services, for over ten years I worked as a Case Manager. I had the privilege of learning to work with people, it taught me a great deal about interpersonal skills, communication skills, and how to use those tools to help others. I taught workshops to adults and youth; this was the point in my career where I realized I wanted to give back the knowledge I had gained. I went on to work in Compliance, Accounting and Office Management. During this time, I learned more specialized skills. I am able to review and audit with a great deal of attention. I also have the ability to: write and manage budgets, contracts, RFPs and RFQs, and Policies and Procedures. I have experience filing various reports. I have assisted with Federal and State reporting for the Social Services Program I worked for, and I am able to process and file reports like the WA state B&O Tax and Sales Use Tax reports, Payroll filings to the State and IRS, and Idaho State Sales tax. I also gained Supervisory experience. I was responsible for conducting employee evaluations, scheduling, and disciplinary actions. In all of my experiences, one common factor is the need to comply with regulations and rules. I have experience with Federal, State, and Tribal Regulations. Specific regulations I have had to work within are: The Code of Federal Regulations (CFR), OMB Guidelines, Washington Administration Codes (WAC), and Department of Transportation (DOT). I also have knowledge of EEO laws, OSHA Regulations, and Tribal Policies. I have experienced so much, but my goal is to find a career where I am able to combine all of my experiences into a single position. I enjoy the ability to work with people and the structure of specialized tasks like those in the accounting field. I am seeking a long-term career with a company that understands the importance of balance between operations and the people they work with and that work with them.
