Since August 1, 2022, I am the Managing Director of the Shell Companies in Germany.As a centre of innovation and pioneer of the energy transition, Germany is an important country for Shell, and Shell plays an important role for the energy transition in Germany. Shell operates Europe’s biggest PEM electrolyser for green hydrogen and Germany’s biggest refinery, we are number 2 in Retail, and a significant player in Chemicals, Natural Gas, Power, Bulk Fuels, Lubricants and Bitumen. To transform our business in the context of the German and international energy transition in collaboration with society, customers and partners is both challenging, inspiring and motivating for me and my colleagues. For us at Shell Germany this means to consequently pursue the commenced decarbonisation of our products and operations while keeping up the energy security in our country.In more than 21 years with Shell, I worked in several leadership positions, lately as Head of Global Fuels Supply and Director of Shell Trading Rotterdam, and before that as CEO Shell & Turcas Petrol A.S.Seit dem 1. August 2022 bin ich Geschäftsführer von Shell in Deutschland.Deutschland ist als Innovationsstandort und Vorreiter in der Energiewende ein wichtiges Land für Shell - und Shell kann eine wichtige Rolle für die Energiewende in Deutschland spielen. Wir betreiben die derzeit größte PEM Wasserstoffanlage in Europa, die größte Raffinerie des Landes, sind zweitstärkster Tankstellenbetreiber sowie bedeutender Akteur im Chemiesektor, Handel von Gas, Kraftstoffen und Strom sowie im Schmierstoff- und Bitumenmarkt. Im Zuge der Energiewende unser Geschäft zur Unterstützung der deutschen und internationalen Klimaziele im Schulterschluss mit der Gesellschaft, Kunden und Partnern neu zu gestalten, ist herausfordernd, inspirierend und motivierend für mich und meine Kollegen und Kolleginnen. Somit verfolgen wir die laufende Dekarbonisierung unserer Produkte und unseres Betriebes konsequent weiter und arbeiten im Dienst der Energiesicherheit in Deutschland.In den mehr als 21 Jahren, die ich nun bei Shell arbeite, hatte ich viele verschiedene Führungsaufgaben - zuletzt als Head of Global Fuel Supply und Direktor Shell Trading Rotterdam und zuvor als CEO Shell & Turcas Petrol A.S.
