Though I began my professional career writing code behind a keyboard (Telefónica Sistemas, where I wrote the app in charge of managing spares purchasing) soon I realised I was in need of other challenges. That's how I entered into the graphical industry world, as a networking specialist I joined the customer support team at Henche S.A. Under the prepress division. That was just the beggining, as time proved my willing I took over the drum scanning systems (Optronics U.S.A. Equipment), imagesetting systems (Optronics-Varityper-Purup/Eskofot-Prepress Solutions), color quality control and ICC profile managing hardware (Gretag-X-Rite), both chemical and digital color proofing systems (3M matchprint) inkjet printing devices (Lasermaster's Designwinder). By 1994, when the digital printing market came to life with the Indigo technology I was there to learn it from its own craddle, since then I've taking care of customers all along Spain, solving every problem, keeping machine-down times below minimum and overall customer satisfaction at high levels. Needless to say the HP-Indigo technology holds one of the more complex (if not the most) combination of software-electromechanic-hydraulic-pneumatic-mechanical systems you could find in this industry. When the market grew up more engineers joined the team under my command, my duties then included remote support for my own engineers. Nevertheless I've never abandoned my role at the customer site but only attended problems either when an issue seemed to be beyond the local engineer abilities either when customer satisfaction was compromised. If I had to decide which is my best value, I'd rather say "common sense", others are keeping calm under high pressure, ability to guide remotely engineers/endusers, and understanding every system so I can quickly know what's going wrong. I'm good at my job because I love it, so when off duty I like to design/create electronic and mechanical systems just for fun
