Fighting Chance

Fighting Chance was founded by Lee Quilter in 2010 as a sports diversion project; to engage young, disadvantaged and vulnerable people in sport and divert them away from crime. Fighting Chance was launched with its first project in Dartford and has since grown to cover much of the South of London and South East of England. According to Kent Police: "the Fighting Chance programme has had a significant effect on reducing anti-social behaviour across Dartford” (Sergeant Paul Squire). Working in partnership with Local Authorities, schools, Youth Offending Teams, Local Police, Network Rail, Housing Associations and British Judo, Fighting chance has successfully set up over 27 projects and continues to expand in the aim of educating, motivating and inspiring even more young people across the UK.
