Fiona Barker

Fiona wears many hats. She is a registered Clinical Scientist who over a 20 year career has developed a focus on the assessment and management of vestibular problems, dizziness and imbalance. She has a post-graduate certificate in evidence-based psychological therapy and has a special interest in the consultation process and in the psychological impact of dizziness. She has a PhD in Clinical and Experimental Medicine from the University of Surrey.The vestibular service at Windsor Audiology Centre is provides high-quality, evidence based assessment and rehabilitation for people with dizziness and balance problems, including Epley manoeuvres and other treatments for benign positional vertigo. Fiona is the founder of Vestibular Health Ltd, a company that promotes awareness of vestibular health to fitness professionals through training and licensing. Picture books are Fiona's other passion. Her first book 'Amelie and the Great Outdoors' is out now and her second is due out Nov 2018 with Tiny Tree Books. She is a registered WI speaker and gives talks to WI and U3A groups on the joy of picture books and children's publishing. Fiona also offers interactive school author visits.
