Firenza Walker

I have spent the last three years doing something that I never thought that I would love doing: helping adult learners reach their educational and personal goals. As a Senior Academic Advisor at the University of Maryland University College, I take pride in the connections that I've made with my students as well as being a mentor to my colleagues. A graduate student at Bowie State University, I have come to love the field of mental health. I am currently pursuing a masters in counseling. Upon graduation, I hope to work with the women in my community and potentially on college campuses. I have a passion for helping individuals reach their goals. My approach is typically laid back yet highly motivating. I am detail and solution-oriented which translates to those that I help. I believe, strongly, in the "work hard, play hard" mentality and use this, along with my faith in God, as motivation to reach my personal and professional goals.
