Forbes has over 20 years experience in the energy industry, specialising in subsea pipeline engineering. Forbes’ particular areas of expertise include deepwater flowlines, HPHT flowlines and flowlines with challenging thermal design issues. Forbes also has experience in design verification, peer reviews, conceptual engineering and niche technical consultancy. Forbes is experienced in the use and interpretation of finite element analyses for complex non-linear analyses. Forbes has worked for several design consultancies and has recently spent several years working in the business development department of a major operator where he has been responsible for a number of conceptual and pre-project scopes. Forbes has authored a number of technical papers on flowline thermal design and operational monitoring.
