As a Senior Engagement and Support worker, for the ‘Someone To Talk To' service’ in Cambridgeshire. I lead a team of Engagement and support workers to deliver excellent, safe, impactful, and responsive services to young people while developing good local relationships with other organisations. The team offers a 'one-stop shop' offering information and ongoing support to young people (aged 13-25), about how to make informed choices about their well-being, health, housing, and anything else they need support with. I work with, support, and develop volunteers. I hold a caseload whom I work with alongside my managerial role. I am able to offer advice around housing, careers, financing, budgeting, issue foodbank voucher as part of assessing mental health needs and the barriers preventing someone from accessing services. I advocate on their behalf to get them the best support that I can.
