Frances Navarro-Towan

I am a Senior Legal Advisor and DPO (CIPP/E & CIPM certified) of the Swiss HQ of the global TIC company, Cotecna Inspection in Geneva, Switzerland, reporting directly to the Group CLO. After almost 10 years in commercial private practice top tier international law firms in Melbourne, Australia, as well as global corporates in both Melbourne (global transport & logistics) and Geneva (operations management consulting spin off of US multinational), my role at Cotecna covers a broad spectrum of global corporate and commercial matters, focusing on global disputes (claims, litigations, arbitration, mediations), management of the global insurance portfolio, intellectual property and international trademark portfolio management and data protection and privacy, as well as commercial contracts, global procurement, corporate finance and restructuring, general compliance and governance matters. I am also a participant in Cotecna's Risk Committee. I also provide general advice and support to internal clients and stakeholders in relation to strategic projects as well as legal training and creation and maintenance of legal team assets. Having worked extensively in a common law jurisdiction for most of my career, as well as civil law jurisdictions for the last few years, I bring an approachable, dynamic, clear and commercial approach in supporting internal clients and working with external parties and particularly enjoy cross-cultural collaboration. My mother tongue is English and my French is developing.
