Working in Clinical Research since May 2006, starting from July 2015 has been covering the role of Clinical Lead (CL). The CL ensures that the execution of the most appropriate clinical strategy is fully implemented and delivered, is empowered to ensure emphasis on patient recruitment, enhance site performance and enable the site facing study team through a detailed knowledge of the protocol and study strategies and is in close contact with Project Leader (PL) and other Key Team Members driving system compliance, to ensure the integration of all clinical related teams and processes and to ensure the delivery of the clinical portion of the study is performed as planned, being responsible for patient recruitment and the overall site performance; the CL is the primary point of contact for CRAs, providing them mentorship and detailed study expertise in managing the study at an individual site level; the CL invests time by thoroughly training CRAs on the study and therapeutic area, in order for them to deliver key messages and instructions to sites with confidence.
