About

The world is an amazing place and I absolutely love exploring the great outdoors. One of my favorite pastimes involves following the weather patterns and trying to predict the next great storm, especially for some of my favorite ski destinations in Colorado and Montana. I also can't get through any summer without enjoying some boating and wakeboarding on the lake with family and friends. Of course, all of this play does not come without working hard as well. I'm a person that likes to take on new and interesting engineering challenges and see them through to the end, whether it means maturing a concept or delivering a new product. I offer over 20 years of expertise in mechanical system design, analysis, testing, fabrication, and product development in the high-tech industry. Prior to founding Lawson Group, I was the thermal architect for Google Maps' next-generation aerial camera systems and was instrumental in utilizing computational fluid dynamic (CFD) studies to help minimize the power usage effectiveness (PUE) for Google’s data centers. Prior to Google, I was managing and leading a team of engineers on a $60M data center build-out at Syska Hennessey and was the lead thermal analyst for the F-22 and Joint Strike Fighter (JSF) programs at Northrop Grumman radio systems division in San Diego. My Bachelor of Science degree in Aerospace Engineering offers strong engineering fundamentals, and, when coupled with my leadership skills in developing new and innovative products, I'm confident there are great things that we can achieve together.
