Frank Ienzi

I found my passion for marketing when I was young, helping my dad at his Italian Cafe. At a young age, I thought of ideas to raise awareness for my dad's business. My young conversations with family and friends were always ideas related to marketing. I liked watching commercials back then to study how to advertise and market to people. When I was eighteen, and working for a marketing research firm, I was behind-the-scene of how businesses conduct market research for their products and services. That fascinated me and gave me the idea to enroll at Algonquin College. After completing my Business Marketing and Marketing Research programs at Algonquin College, I decided to move abroad. At twenty-five, I decided to move to Hangzhou, China. The chance to learn Mandarin and experience Chinese business strategies was exciting to me. During my time in China, I was part of many marketing projects and campaigns. I decided to build a hockey program from scratch. With the help of social media, editing apps and computer software, I was able to document, create, and market content that ended up building a brand and culture in a city where hockey was non-existent. It turns out; people were eager to participate. I worked with ex Chinese Pro's, NHL summer camps, equipment manufacturers. I helped hockey agree amongst children, teenagers, and adults. Locals and ex-pats all joined the hockey program. I was an ex-pat involved with many local businesses in Hangzhou. I was very passionate about helping local businesses with their marketing strategies to cater to ex-pats. I learned how to use tech to my advantage to grow my brand in China. I was able to connect, create opportunities, educate and inspire. I enjoy staying up to date with the latest online trends and mastering my craft through self-learning. I'm obsessed with the challenge of starting an idea, and I love being a part of creating something from nothing. Whether it's a new marketing plan, content strategy and branding, I enjoy having an entrepreneur mindset. After spending eight years in China and then returning to Canada in late 2019, I decided to start a blog, podcasts, and YouTube series about marketing, social media, business, and positivity.
