Frank Jeng is one of few attorneys/businessmen who has abundant experience in complex business transactions as well as dispute resolution. Having being a partner from a global prestigeous law firm, a senior in-house legal adviser from an international tech conglomerate and an executive from a china-based firm focusing on operation of intellectual property, Frank gains enormous experience in IPO, M&A transactions, IP litigation and licensing negotiation, cross- border litigation and government investigation in the US and Hong Kong. Frank serves as Vice President at Purplevine IP Group, a full-service intellectual property group based in China. He is in charge of the group’s litigation and licensing practice, where he is assisting clients manage over 50 IP litigations and licensing negotiations across Greater China, U.S.A, Japan, Germany, UK, and South America. Frank is also responsible for the group’s international development and cross-border transactions. Prior to joining Purplevine, Frank served as a partner in the Hong Kong office of Kirkland & Ellis, where he joined from K&E’s headquarters in Chicago, and then relocated to Asia in 2012. During his tenure at K&E, Frank is one of the few attorneys who had substantial experience in both corporate and litigation areas. Frank had represented Frank represented companies in several M&As and US/HK IPOs of a total transaction amount over USD 5 billion. Frank also represented clients in white-collar and cross-border litigations concerning intellectual property disputes, antitrust investigations, civil class actions, FCPA and securities fraud defense. As a bilingual lawyer dually admitted in the U.S. And Hong Kong, Frank received his J.D. And LL.M. From the University of Pennsylvania Law School and his bechalor degree with double majors (Law and Business Administration) from National Taiwan University. Frank also holds Certificate in Business and Public Policy from the Wharton Business School.
