Frank Paternoster

I am a senior chemical engineering student at Clemson University and will be graduating in May 2020. During my time at school I have done 3 co-op rotations for Ascend Performance Materials. Two of the rotations were in manufacturing engineer positions and one was in a research and development lab.In the manufacturing engineer positions I was in the field on a daily basis interacting with operators to try and find ways to improve the process. I designed systems and workstations to improve operators productivity. I also assisted with new product testing, performed tests on product to assure the product met quality standards, wrote operating procedures and trained operators.In the research and development lab I was in charge of testing the catalyst used in the plant. I used VBA/Excel to allow for catalyst performance to be tracked. I also cataloged every chemical in the lab and made the SDS's available to the technicians.
