Franshandra Owens

Master's level social worker, who currently works in community mental health as an Adult therapist. Utilizing a trauma informed, person-centered, and strength based approach I strive to assist my client's in processing and overcoming, past and current traumas/stressors. I work with a wide variety clientele who have different diagnosis and comorbidities including but not limited to, Major Depression, Bipolar Disorder, Schizophrenia, Substance use Disorders, etc. I also work to provide mental health treatment to the homeless population within the Springfield Area, focusing on immediate needs and resources for a high risk population. An essential part of my position includes crisis intervention within the Emergency Departments of both hospital in the area. This allows me to work directly within a multidisciplinary team to provide crisis mental health services.
