MY EXPERTISE: I have an MBA in Project Management and my PMP and CSM certifications. I manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing and planning within each project, meeting deadlines, and ensuring all relevant risks and issues have been considered. I am a quick learner and a patient trainer, leader or team member. I am a consensus builder, able to diplomatically engage and negotiate with diverse and global team members and with internal and external stakeholders and gain support by making a compelling case. I thoroughly enjoy working with all kinds of people. I am eager to work with someone no matter what city, state, or country they are from, how old they are, or what language they speak. I can manage a stadium concessions team of 75 people from all walks of life or a team spread across continents for a technology project. I have even been a referee for a sports league, which requires a lot of the same patience, confidence, knowledge, and communications skills as leading a team. DIVERSE EXPERIENCE: I found project management after working in research, analysis, compliance, event management, fund raising, sales, and training. I have always been willing to learn something new and work with anyone. I have excelled in each role by being a strategic and analytical thinker and by utilizing creative problem solving and effective communication skills. Such diverse experiences shape how I work effectively and collaboratively across departments, offices, divisions, functions, cultures and levels in a global company. GLOBAL PERSPECTIVE: I grew up in Miami, where I learned Spanish through constant exposure. I studied in Switzerland for four years, where I learned Italian and travelled extensively. I spent 8 years in New York City and have spent 6 years in Texas. I have embraced the changes and complexities of each move, adapting to every place I have lived. I speak intermediate Spanish, French and Italian, and still remember some of the German I studied. Knowing those languages and common phrases in others has been immensely helpful communicating non-English speakers both personally and professionally.
