Freddie has a busy commercial practice. He is regularly instructed in some of the most high- profile and high value commercial and civil fraud disputes in the Commercial Court, including: - The 10-week trial of ENRC v Dechert & Serious Fraud Office (led by Clare Montgomery QC and Nathan Pillow QC), one of The Lawyer’s Top 20 Cases of 2021; - Navigator Equities Ltd v Deripaska [2020] EWHC 1798 (led by Nathan Pillow QC), a committal application and an abuse of process strike out application; - ArcelorMittal USA v Ruia & Others [2020] EWHC 3349 (led by Paul McGrath QC), a c. $1.5 billion fraud claim; - General Dynamics UK Ltd v The State of Libya [2022] EWHC 501, an application to set-aside arbitration enforcement for failure of full and frank disclosure of state immunity (led by Lucas Bastin). - The Kingdom of Sweden v Serwin, Bishop, Gergeo & Ors (sole counsel), a €115m fraud claim. - A v B [2022] (sole counsel), an application for Bankers Trust relief and a gagging order against a cryptocurrency exchange. Freddie also acts regularly in High Court commercial employment matters and applications for injunctive relief. He appears frequently as sole advocate in the employment tribunal in unfair dismissal claims, as well as discrimination and harassment claims under the Equality Act. Recent cases include: Red Bull Racing v Fallows (led by Daniel Oudkerk QC); and Stroma Building Control v Barr [2021] EWHC 239 (led by Daniel Oudkerk QC). Freddie also has a developing public law practice. He has experience of judicial review (Newby Foods v FSA led by Hugh Mercer QC), and has advised on a number of public law matters, including human rights challenges, the Global Human Rights Sanctions Regulations 2020 (led by Dan Sarooshi QC), and on diplomatic and consular immunity.
