Analytics & keyword research can help you figure out what audience to tell which story to, when to tell it, and what perspective to tell it from, but it all comes down to achieving buy-in for the story of your company & products. In the last 5 years, I’ve started writing my own story with my YouTube channel - Shah Lusso - centered around luxury watches from Audemars Piguet to Zenith. After 7 years of working in digital marketing & SEO I decided it was time to put my money where my mouth was to create meaningful content to market luxury watch brands & watch stores around the world while exploring my passion for watches. I’ve discovered that YouTube marketing isn’t about creating the same ads that you used to see on TV or in magazines, it’s about using the freedom of the platform to create meaningful narratives that build engagement and affinity for a brand. Sure I’ve made mistakes along the way and learned lessons by going against the grain, but I’ve also reaped the benefits of creating an audience of passionate watch enthusiasts that know where to look when they’re planning their next watch purchase. And that’s what experience is all about, isn’t it? Is it really about how many years you’ve accumulated doing the same thing over and over again?
