“The best way to predict the future is to invent it.” -Alan KayIntensely passionate is who I am, particularly about human behaviour. My passion for understanding human behaviour sparked whilst growing up in South Africa, Malaysia, Malta and Turkey. It was fascinating to observe how people can take on such different values in each country, so it triggered me to want to understand: Why?To explore this curiosity, I participated in volunteer work at a Hospital where I took part in weekly activities with patients. In this time I was able to further explore my teamwork, communication and planning skills with such activities. During my Bachelor, I joined my Faculty Magazine as a writer, in which I wrote an article that got published by the University. This inspired me to create my own blog (The Self Awareness Leap) where I creatively express myself by simultaneously also trying to make an impact in the world. This sharpened my skills in marketing and SEO copywriting. Alongside this I volunteered in PhD projects where I challenged myself to research and brainstorm ideas with other team members in order to help design a study. This strengthened my analytical and organisational skills. Consequently, my passionate nature led me to completing my Bachelor by initiating and writing my own individual thesis.Furthermore, I interned at i-Psy, an intercultural clinic. Whilst interning at i-Psy as a Psychologist, I was able to refine my communication and teamwork skills across different cultures by interviewing patients and leading in weekly team discussions. Lastly, I am working as a Psychologist at Praktijk LifEm and am open to challenging myself with opportunities that will showcase my skills in initiative taking, communication, teamwork, creativity and my thirst for learning/growth. In conclusion, I am always striving to improve myself, learn endlessly, challenge assumptions and follow what brings me joy in order to make an impact in the world.
