My passion is building cohesive teams with a single minded focus; to take our companies to higher levels of performance through superior brand equity management, improving our business processes, driving operational excellence, understanding the future of the industry and creating new trails rather than following old ones. I have been a teacher, worked in the capital goods, FMCG, CSD, spirits, brewing and media industries in Asia, Europe, Central & North America and the Caribbean. I have come up through the ranks and worked in sales, marketing, commercial, general and executive management roles. Working in and managing various companies in different industries and geographies has allowed me to learn continuously over the past 40+ years. Having being involved in various joint ventures has also given me the opportunity to understand the dynamics of satisfying various stakeholders with different interests. I view every assignment as a time bound project (ideally no more than 5 years) with key deliverables/outcomes. I have run small and large companies, turned around unprofitable ones and always grew the businesses I have been responsible for; in market share, turnover and profit by being role makers in the marketplace. I graduated in the top 10% of my MBA class and believe that everyday there is an opportunity to learn both from the good and bad practices around you, once you are open to it. I have built new brands and reinvigorated old ones through a sharp focus on consumer insights. My belief is work does not start or end once you enjoy what you do. My goal is to make a positive impact on the genuine people I meet and leave the world a better place through my contributions. I would like to teach for the last 5 years of my working career.
