Building a company from scratch, building international operations and introducing or giving value to innovation have been my day to day for over 20 years, mainly in the IT and cleantech industries but always including the financial dimension. Now, at Meteo Protect, we are designing financial solutions based on scientific and big data innovations, to help companies handle the short and medium term challenges that climate change creates. The world has entered a period of significant financial performance variability deriving from increasingly more frequent and intense weather anomalies. We have assembled a unique team to tackle this uncertainty, understand its value and help our corporate clients worldwide at least gain control over weather risk and, when possible, turn it into a competitive advantage. Since 2011, through sustained investments in science and technology, and focus on execution, Meteo Protect has become a European leader in this promising market. In 2020 Meteo Protect has been acquired by Cooper Gay, a BGC Insurance group company.
