Gabriel Paez

I currently serve as a Regulatory Relations Specialist within our Strategy, Governance, and Oversight group located in New York City. As part of the Strategy, Planning, and Implementation team, I support the strategic initiatives that have a mission of strengthening Regulatory and Policy Affairs at Wells Fargo. My Journey with Wells Fargo started when I joined as a Part-Time Teller in 2016. My passion for finances truly began when I worked my way to becoming what was a Customer Service Sales Representative and then into an Associate Personal Banker. I constantly found myself wanting to expand my knowledge so that I could always be equipped with answers; I could better help my clients. Having clients grow their savings, purchase homes, watching their businesses grow, and feeling free of financial burdens are just some of the many things that made me proud of the work I did. There is something magnificent about changing a person’s life through smart financial decisions. My goal in life has always been to make a positive impact in the world. When you make hundreds of small impacts every year on people, it really starts to feel like you’re making a significant difference. I graduated from John Jay College of Criminal Justice with a Bachelors in Public Administration. Having a passion for government, public policy, and leadership is what led me to pick this as my major. I graduated with Honors and became a part of the Pi Alpha Alpha International Honor Society for Public Affairs and Administration. My major in Public Administration has empowered me to analyze, understand, and solve problems efficiently. The major is grounded in a commitment to truly understand the definition of including equity, diversity, inclusion, ethics, effectiveness, and accountability. As well as explain the unique challenges and opportunities of providing goods and services in a diverse society. Above all, John Jay taught me to not only be a student in the classroom but in life itself. I find myself continuing to learn, develop, and grow as a professional. I am thankful for the journey thus far and look forward to contributing to the initiatives and endeavors that I come across.
