Gabriele Di Matteo

"One’s destination is never a place, but a new way of seeing things" I'm Gabriele Di Matteo, doctor of law in Italy and with a master in Law and Technology obtained at Tilburg University. Currently, I'm a legal analyst for DG-Legal of the European Central Bank, working for the KM (Knowledge Management) team. The passion, which has characterized me through my academic formation, still guides me in my day-to-day work. I'm a strong supporter of technology and legal design: today lawyer should be multicultural, inter-disciplinary, focusing on the potentialities (and connected risks) that new technologies are bringing (and already brought) to the society and to the legal field. My area of interest is primarily related to legal knowledge management, digitalization of legal operations, legal design & visualization (I also published an article for Springer and participated to conferences as the the ENDORSE). Nevertheless, I have a since passion towards EU law as a whole, with a focus on Competition Law, Contract Law, privacy, precontractual liability, ADR (with a focus on Online Dispute Resolution), cybersecurity, and Artificial Intelligence.
