I have work in Medical Physics in the NHS for over 10 years, specifically in the area of X-ray Physics. My main areas of interest are in CT scan scanning, digital imaging and radiation protection. For a number of years I've been undertaking a research project into the use of lead shielding to reduce patient dose/foetal dose in CT scanning and with the assistance of Yorkshire Forward, Medipex and the Yorkshire Enterprise Fellowship, have brought a product to market in the UK.
