I am a credentialed risk executive holding Open Fair, CISSP, CIA, and CISA certifications. I am currently Technology Risk Director at Webster Financial Corporation, a leading regional bank in New England. I initially developed and have budget responsibility for the Technology Risk function in the bank to focus on first line of defense risk management for the IT function, including: • Overall Technology risk management, monitoring, and education • Developing and managing risk mitigation activities and control self-assessments • Development and management of Technology/Information Security Policies and Standards. • Responsible for Technology and Information Security educations and awareness • Primary interface with our regulators, internal and external audit, and Webster’s Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) compliance function I have a strong personal interest in information and cyber security and have worked to stay current on security technology, threats, and vulnerabilities by continuing my education in the field and seeking out security related opportunities. I hold a Masters in Information Security and Forensics and Homeland Security, which included all aspects of cybersecurity, application security (SQL Injection, Cross Site Scripting, etc.), network security, forensics and tools (vulnerability scanning, network monitoring, testing suites, data leakage tools, etc.) I place high priority on developing collaborative relationships with my business and IT partners, and am often called upon to provide controls and security advice. Previously, I have held senior operational and IT audit roles at a regional bank, a major health care insurer, and a multi-line insurer. In these roles, I led all aspects of the risk-based audit process, audit project execution and monitoring, and internal quality assurance processes. I also have significant experience in Information Technology as a Manager, Enterprise Architect, Business Systems/Application Architect, and Developer.
